Moments
Aaaah April. A time of much stress and much relief. This was a good month. The weather was wonky, we had snow one day, and delightful sun the next. The solar eclipse happened and we gathered like little lemmings on the lower field to watch and clap as the sun and moon kissed. It was a month of much joy but also some sad. It has truly been so much fun but that doesn’t mean it has to stop.
As Moriah yelled on one of last evenings together, “It will never be like this again!” Hopefully it will only be much better.
April Moments
Snow galore after beautiful summer days after our last seminar class with bagels and my banana bread
Maya got her eyebrow pierced and it looks sick. Followed by a neat potluck.
The eclipse
First did some studying with Aida and Juliet. That was so nice.
Wow. Crazy. So grateful to have experienced it along with so many of my lovely friends, and among so many people. What a funny experience to share with so many people.
The air remained feeling cold afterwards, and we were all so nervous about
I worked so gosh darn hard on an essay and it worked out well
Probably the best day ever with Maya. First we got free Ben and Jerries ice cream and then we climbed, and it was the first time I’ve really enjoyed indoor bouldering.
1. big hugs 2. picnic! 3. pasta making night! 4. a classic picture of maya and i 5. plateausheaga from above 6. moriah and monica looking snazzy 7. the random sudden snow day 8. coord dinner or boys birthday party? 9. julien and maria Maya and I drank tea in my kitchen and chatted, after a big girl dinner
Moriah, Maya and I climbed and saunaed after I did something which felt weird and a little sad beforehand. I still had a really lovely time. It felt very growth inducing.
Sam and I went to Amelia’s and I had the best pizza of my life, and while Sam had a very good pizza too, I did win. Then we ran into Monica on our way back to watch Harry Potter, and I gave her a slice.
Greek Easter was a lot of fun although Maya and I ran very late because we were going to get temporary frog tattoos
Ben looks like Rocky??
Coord pizza dinner feeling like a boys birthday party and being just so much fun
Reservoir burgers and giggling and gratitude (Pictured below). That was probably my favorite night of the year.

Moving people in and out
Julien
Maria is so nice, cute apartment and going to Toledo for sweet treats!
This photo of Maria and I:
Monica
A lot of moving, and fortunately no pouring rain!
So grateful for how much care was shown for my back. Like so grateful. I almost cried.
Pizza after was so good and Monica slept over and it was so fun. Slumber-party!
Moriah
Being recognised for being good at organising felt so good
A little regret but also so much excitement!
Delightful Greek cafe nearby
Home made PASTA night!!!
With my favorite class my whole McGill career
these are the only photos i took but i just had so much gratitude in my soul (and so much annoyance I didn't finish my management assignment before)
Plateausheaga
Ally played!
Roof-top bar
Drunken A&W
Walk home was a lovely meander
Julien living with me for the first, and last, time.
Julien buying an entire red velvet cake to appease the parasites
Our friendship necklaces arrived
Making Shakshuka
Julien waking me up in various funny ways
Less funny: Letting your alarm snooze and then go off for 5 minutes, literally 6 times at 6am. Multiple days in a row.
Watching Modern Love, and sobbing between Sam and Julien
That whole set-up was also just toooooooo funny
Cassia’s Harry Potter themed potluck. So lovely. So fun.
Won trivia, also won the chant writing. I love a themed party. Such good work Cassia, I am in awe. Picture below of her roommates creation:
Alice’s goodbye picnic was so cute and I felt so sad I left early
A last work team gathering after a last waterpolo game — that felt a bit sad
Trekking to the bins after finishing out exams
GREAT boots to be worn in the fall along with a great jacket
Quotes
“I think he Pavloved me with his vape.” - Vic, during an office hour about a former man in her life.
“The fact thats its already 9pm in Copenhagen.” - Julien, in relation to seeing the time?? I still don’t understand.
“If I were on a Hellenistic coin, not bad!” - Julien on his side profile
“Do you visit yourself?” - Ologies with Ally Ward, in relation to journalling and being in touch with your emotions
“You smell so good. Like my childhood. Like a memory.” - Monica, at Plateausheaga during Allys performance
“The only thing keeping me warm is the company” - Moriah, while out at Reservoir and we started getting chilly
“It will never be like this again!” - Moriah, our last evening together this semester
“I just love you all so much.” - Also Moriah, our last evening together this semester. Exclaimed, rather than said. I agree.
“I wish I could meet you all over again. I like me better now. But what good is there in wishing? I am glad I met you at all.” - A picture series from @clownlifeizzi on Instagram. These words felt like a grand relief, a neat tie-together, and a breath of fresh air. I don’t know why they have been bringing me so much calm.
Pinterest Finds (No poem this month, sorry.)
“Well, let it pass; April is over, April is over. There are all kinds of love I the world, but never the same love twice.” - F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Short Stories. I love loving my friends so much and this was so neat I think! It reminded me of Moriah’s exclamation

I just had so much fun, and I felt like a lot of the reflections I have made over the past year have started to really come together. I am excited to have more time to write about it over the summer.

Saying bye to so many of my friends graduating, and leaving what has been such a lovely semester.
